Lyndell Hall, Sr. was born on November 16, 1958, in Galveston, Texas. He was the youngest of seven children. Lyndell attended Angleton Independent School District and proudly graduated from Angleton High School. While in school, he was an active athlete, participating in both football and basketball. He was baptized at New Bethel Baptist Church in Angleton, Texas under Rev. L.R. Eath. Later in life, he joined True Honor Missionary Baptist Church under Rev. Eric Goodman. Lyndell resided in Clute, Texas during his later years. He worked as a truck driver for several companies, including Vernor Material and Equipment and Celedon. He enjoyed fishing, where he found great joy and peace in casting his line. He also enjoyed playing dominoes. Lyndell loved his family dearly and did not hesitate to express it. In the last several years of his life, Lyndell faced many health challenges and spent a great deal of time in hospitals and under medical care. Despite these difficulties, he remained a source of light and encouragement to all who encountered him. With his ever-present smile and warm greetings, he left an unforgettable impression on nurses, doctors, and healthcare workers. On September 2, 2025, Lyndell Hall, Sr. entered eternal rest. He is preceded in death by his mother, Leola Forge; father, L.A. Banks; stepfather, Ober Forge; his sister, Joyce Smith; and his devoted companion of over thirty years, Thelma Roberts. He leaves to cherish and honor his memory, children: Lyndell Hall, Jr. (Lynn), Cortney Hall, Crystal Hall, their mother Carrie
Hall, and Breanna Hall (Rene III); nine grandchildren; one great- grandchild; siblings Derotha Stephens, Rita Craft (Earnest),
Wayne Hall, Brenda Randall, and Ronnie Hall, his loving aunts, Jessie Mae Lee and Barbara Lee; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and dear friends. Though Lyndell has transitioned from this life, his legacy of love, kindness, and strength will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His story is not just one of perseverance through trials, but one of joy, family, and unwavering faith.
