Lynette Golla, a deeply loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2025, at the age of 76. Born in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, to Leonard and Lorraine (Kasper) Golla, Lynette spent many years in the Seattle, Washington area-a place that brought her great joy-before returning to Stevens Point to care for her aging parents.

Throughout her life, Lynette brought warmth, kindness, and laughter to everyone around her. She worked in customer service and real estate, but her true passions were animals and caring for others. Whether she was rescuing a stray, supporting a loved one in need, or painting whimsical portraits of family pets, Lynette's generous spirit always shone through.

In 2019, Lynette endured the devastating loss of her beloved partner of 30 years, Marc Vollrath, just days after the passing of her mother, Lorraine Golla. Despite her grief, she continued to selflessly care for family members and animals alike, embodying resilience and compassion every step of the way.

Lynette's creativity was a gift she shared freely-especially through her vibrant, playful paintings of the pets she adored. Her greatest joy, however, came from her role as a mother and grandmother. She is survived by her two sons, Isaac (Korina) and Adrian (Amy) Schulze and her cherished grandsons, Leo Schulze and James Harlan, who brought light and laughter into her life. She also leaves behind her three brothers, Bruce, Russ (Barbara) and Dean.

Even in her final days, Lynette was caring for others-helping her brother Dean during his rehabilitation at Portage County Health Care Center (PCHCC) where she subsequently entered hospice care on August 20, 2025. The staff there spoke often of her generous nature, recounting how she lifted spirits with treats, jokes, and kindness.

Lynette was happiest during the years she spent in the Seattle Washington area with Marc, and in accordance with her wishes, her sons will return her ashes to the area they both loved. There, they will celebrate her extraordinary life and the indelible mark she left on all who knew her.

Her warmth, wit, and unwavering love will be deeply missed but forever remembered.

The Family thanks all of Lynette's caregivers at Aspirus Hospital Stevens Point ( St. Mikes), PCHCC and Campassus Hospice for the exceptional and compassionate care they provided.
