Lynn Jackson Campbell, age 80, of Macon, MO passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at the Loch Haven Nursing Home in Macon.
Born on October 1, 1944, Lynn lived a life marked by warmth, generosity, and a deep love for his family and friends. He served in the United States military, and later built a career in finance; primarily in the car business, where his outgoing personality and natural kindness helped him form lasting friendships across the community.
Lynn was a true people person. He loved being surrounded by others-whether catching up with friends, going out to eat, or attending his grandchildren's games and events. Western movies were a favorite pastime, but nothing brought him greater joy than time spent with family. Lynn moved from Columbia, MO to the outskirts of Bevier, MO, where he built a cabin on reserve land, a place that became his sanctuary. He spent some of his happiest days there with his grandson Braden, riding four-wheelers, hunting deer and turkey, fishing, and sharing countless adventures on the farm.
He was the devoted father of Billy Campbell and Greg Campbell. Lynn shared a particularly close bond with his son Billy, and his heart was forever marked by Billy's passing from cancer on December 4, 2000. He was also a beloved part of his bonus family, Mindy Hayward and her husband Rob, and their children, Courtney, Riley, and Braden.
Lynn will be remembered for his loving nature, generous spirit, and the way he made everyone feel like family. His laughter, presence, and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Memorial service will be 11:00 am, Saturday, June 14, 2025 at the Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon, MO. Inurnment will be in Oakwood Cemetery New Addition in Bevier, MO. Memorials are suggested to the Randy Johnson Memorial Fund.
