Lynn Mull Kershner was born on November 24, 1934, and passed away on July 25, 2025. She was the only child of Roses and Ralph Mull, a school principal and a teacher. She grew up in Middletown, Ohio and graduated in 1951 from Monroe High School (Ohio). She attended Ohio Wesleyan and then bravely went on to New York City and graduated from flight attendant school. She worked for Capital Airlines and was based in New Orleans, where she lived in the French Quarter with her stewardess friends, and had a ball. She married Tom Day and they had one child, Melissa (Missy) Ormerod.

After their divorce, she took a position as the Eastern Airlines office manager in Freeport, Grand Bahama Island, in the Bahamas. She and Missy lived there until 1974 when the Bahamas gained their independence and it became impossible for ex-patriots to obtain work permits. Lynn and Missy had to leave what they thought would be their forever-home and returned to her hometown in Ohio. There, she began her journey of moving to many different places and building new houses, with her favorite locations being Arizona and South Carolina. She met Bill Kershner and was married until she became a widow a few years later.

They lived in Ossining, New York, as Bill was Vice President of Borden. She enjoyed taking the train into NYC and going to dinners and shows. After his passing, she moved to many more cities across the country, enjoying each new place. She also traveled abroad and absolutely loved Zermatt, Switzerland, which she visited many times. She loved knitting, watching sports (especially the University of Kentucky and The Ohio State University), and enthusiastically cheering on her grandchildren and great grandchildren at their games. She also cheered for favorite quarterbacks Tom Brady and Lamar Jackson.

She loved everything Christmas (often keeping her tree up until Valentine's Day because she couldn't bear to take it down). She loved eating out on a daily basis with her daughter, a good Jim Beam on the rocks, shopping at Hobby Lobby for yarn and going to the beach at Pawleys Island, SC. She felt blessed and lucky to celebrate at Logan and Mark's wedding last December in Charleston and taking a family trip to Pawleys Island just a week before her passing. She lived life to the fullest and she will be so greatly missed. She loved her family vehemently with her whole heart and was so proud of them all.

She is survived by her daughter, Missy Ormerod (Mike); her grandsons, Patrick and Logan Ormerod (Mark Coley); and her granddaughter, Carly (Josh Bell). She is also survived by five great-grandchildren, Walker, Beau, Blake, Crew and Oaks Bell.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm on Saturday, August 2nd, with a memorial service to follow at 12:00 noon, at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road. Friends are invited to celebrate Lynn's wonderful life after the service at Big Spring Country Club for lunch and a Jim Beam on the rocks.
