Lynn Helen King, 86, of Wilton, California, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Born on November 17, 1938, to Wayne and Charlotte Cornwell in Whittier, California, Lynn lived a long and meaningful life rooted in faith, family, and service.
A devoted mother, she raised two daughters, Kimberly (Joseph) and Stephanie (Kevin), who were the center of her heart. She was a proud grandmother of five and a cherished great-grandmother of seven, always finding joy in family gatherings, celebrations, and the milestones and accomplishments of her loved ones.
A lifelong Catholic, Lynn's faith was the foundation of her life. She was a devoted member of both the Saint Joseph's and Saint Vincent de Paul Parish's in Elk Grove and Rancho Murieta, where she could always be counted on to lend a hand, share a smile, and where she actively served her God, community and formed lifelong friendships.
Lynn worked for the State of California as a Telecommunications Specialist, mastering complex systems long before "tech-savvy" was a buzzword. She brought the same dedication to her work as she did to her community, where she was always active, involved, and just a little unstoppable.
She will be remembered for her quick wit, generous heart, and the way she could turn a simple gathering into a celebration. Lynn's life was a beautiful mix of faith, service, love, and laughter-seasoned with a dash of stubbornness that kept her true to herself.
She is survived by her daughters, Kimberly, her husband Joseph, Stephanie and her husband Kevin, her five grandchildren, and her seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Lynn was preceded in death by her brother Wayne Cornwell. While they will miss her deeply, her loved ones will take comfort in knowing she is now at peace, reunited with those who went before her, and watching over the family she cherished so dearly.
