Lynn "Tiny" Peavey, age 63, of Alamo, Georgia, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2025, after a valiant battle with cancer. Born on October 16, 1961, in McRae, Georgia, Tiny lived a life marked by service, hard work, laughter, and deep love for his family.

At just 17 years old, Tiny proudly joined the United States Navy, beginning a lifetime of dedication and resilience. Following his military service, he worked as a trucker and later as a dispatcher for Jones Transportation, where he earned the respect and friendship of many.

Tiny had a larger-than-life personality that lit up every room he entered. Whether he was cooking for his loved ones, cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs, or watching a NASCAR race, he brought passion and joy to everything he did. Above all, he cherished his time with family and was known as the life of the party-quick with a joke, a story, or a helping hand.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Brinson and Dorothy Coleman Peavey; brother Lloyd Peavey; son, BJ Peavey; brother-in-law Doug Anderson; and the love of his life, Christy Peavey.

He leaves behind a family who adored him: daughters Jennifer Wilson (Aaron) of Nicholls and Stephanie Lawrence of Douglas; grandchildren Hunter King (Lexi) of Douglas, Brooklin Griffin (Ethan) of Douglas, Shanna Swails (Diego) of Methuen, MA, and Adalyn Swails of Douglas; one cherished great-grandson, Kash King; three loving sisters Gwen Powell (Keith) of Lyons, Libby Peavey of Alamo, and Donna Anderson of Hazlehurst; and several nieces and nephews. His legacy of strength, laughter, and love will live on through them.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 15, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will take place Wednesday, July 16, at 11:00 a.m. at Alamo Methodist Church, with burial to follow in the Alamo Memorial Cemetery.

Tiny will be deeply missed by all who knew him-but his stories, his laugh, and his love will remain with us always.
