Lynn Roberts

Loretta Lynn Dickens Roberts age 58 of Lebanon passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital in Lebanon. She is survived by her husband of 39 years Kenneth A. (Roscoe) Roberts and siblings Elizabeth (Tony ) Thompson; Linda Dickens Harper and Elizabeth "Sissy" (Russell) Loftis as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members.

Preceded in death by parents, James W. Dickens and Ruth R. Bybee Dickens; brother Robert (Sandy) Dickens; sister Peggy Dickens Stafford and brother-in-law Tracy Harper.

Lynn began her "caregiver" skills at age 16 and continued her career working for Dixie Taylor and family for 31 years at Quality Care Nursing Home. Sadly, her own health declined in the Spring of 2024 and she was no longer able to work. Kenneth's "caregiving" skills kicked in to see that Lynn received his "quality care".

Lynn enjoyed fishing alongside her "favorite" fishing partner, Kenneth. They spent many a pleasant day on a pond bank. Trips to Scottsville, Kentucky for summer ripe produce and Lynn's favorite zucchini bread were the highlight of many summer afternoon road trips. Lynn found great joy in her nieces and nephews with overnight stays, filled with laughter and good food. Lynn enjoyed baking and sharing those delicious baked goods with friends and family- Especially her famous orange juice cake. Lynn loved to crochet and would share her handmade afghans with family and loved ones. Kenneth had his own Loretta Lynn! Kenneth and "Doolittle "found the love of their lives.

The Montgomery family cookouts were one of Lynn and Kenneth's favorite get-togethers. The friendship of the Montgomery family "was and is" a beautiful example of love and respect.

The Dickens family have been in Smith and Wilson County since the early 1800s.

The funeral service, conducted by Brother Danny Sellers, is 5 p.m. Saturday, October 4, 2025 in the chapel of Sellers Funeral Home, Lebanon, TN. Burial to follow at Bethlehem Cemetery in the Tuckers Crossroads Community. Visitation at the funeral home on Saturday is from 12 p.m. until the service at 5 p.m.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Sellers Funeral Home to cover funeral expenses.

Pallbearers will be Bill McKee, David Gregory, Josh Bryan, B.J. Comstock, Josh Major, Will Stafford, Dakota Harper, Russell Loftis, Jared Major. Honorary pallbearer, Grady Montgomery.
