Lynn Stewart Smith of Holland, Michigan passed away December 4, 2025.
He was born on June 28, 1950 in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
After high school Lynn went on to serve in the United States Army Special Forces Unit as a Green Beret. He fought in Vietnam earning several medals including two Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star. After his time in the military he began a long career working for the US Government .
Lynn was blessed to spend 44 years with his wife Lori before her passing in 2022.
He enjoyed fishing, old cars, building model airplanes, and playing card games with his grandchildren. He could also tell some really good jokes.
Surviving are his children Jessica & Luke Vander Wal, Travis Smith, Megan & James Bridgeman; grandchildren Owen & Emmalyn Vander Wal, Taylor Bridgeman; siblings Larry & Louann Smith, Deborah Riddle
He was preceded in death by his wife Lori; parents Donald & Betty Smith; brother Donald F. Smith
