Lynn Thuli, age 70, of Chamois, passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at Capitol Region Medical Center in Jefferson City.
Lynn was born on July 18, 1955, in Cherry Point, North Carolina, a daughter to the late Charles and Lorraine (Hofstetter) Gilbert, I.
She was a 1973 graduate of Chamois High School.
On April 9, 1977, she was united in marriage to David Thuli at First Baptist Church in Chamois. David survives at their residence.
Lynn was employed at several factories, the latest one being Elsevier in Linn until her retirement in 2009. She then started the best job of babysitting her grandchildren.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Chamois.
Lynn enjoyed doing crafts, making jewelry, coloring, headbands, scrapbooking, sitting in the front yard, shopping, and watching scary movies. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband of forty-eight years, Lynn is survived by her four children, Mandy Mitchem of Chamois, Gina (Shane) Thompson of Chamois, Amy (James) Mitchem of Jefferson City and David “Doogie” Thuli of Chamois; six grandchildren, Tanner Mitchem, Seth Mitchem, Julissa Mitchem, Paxton Thuli, Sophie Thompson and Cora Thompson; two brothers, Charles Gilbert, II. of Chamois, and Frank Gilbert of Chamois; four sisters, Lorraine (Jim) Wright of Chamois, Wendy (Rodney) Wolfe of Linn, Jenny Gilbert of Arnold, and Holly (Tony) Robinson of Jefferson City, along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to her parents, Lynn was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Ryan Mitchem, and a brother, David Gilbert.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at Morton Chapel in Chamois with Funeral Service to follow at 6:00 p.m. with Jeremiah Abell officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Ferguson Cemetery near Chamois.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Ferguson Cemetery.
