Lynne Marie Cartwright, 87, of Schenectady, passed away at the Glendale Home in Glenville on Monday August 4, 2025 after a long illness.
Born on September 8, 1937 in Amsterdam, NY she was the daughter of the late George A. and Bernadette Beauchamp Cartwright. Lynne was a lifelong area resident, was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School and went on to graduate with her bachelor's degree from The College of Saint Rose in Albany.
Lynne worked for many years as a Medical Lab Technologist at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady until her retirement.
Lynne was a longtime communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church in Schenectady and was active with the RCIA of the church.
Survivors include her two brothers, James S. Cartwright of Saugerties, NY and Paul E. Cartwright of Glenville, NY; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, 812 Union St., Schenectady. Interment will follow in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna.
The family would like to thank Community Hospice and the nurses and staff of the Dutch Hollow Neighborhood of the Glendale Home for their compassionate care.
Memorial contributions may be made in Lynne's memory to St. John the Evangelist Church.
