M. Grace (Calise) Ferri, 98, of West Warwick, passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Alpine Nursing Home in Coventry. She was the beloved wife of 60 years to the late John A. Ferri before his passing in 2010.

Born in Providence on March 7, 1927, the daughter of the late Gaetano "Nanno" and Martha (D'Luglio) Calise, she was brought up and lived on Federal Hill until 1954 when she moved to West Warwick and had resided ever since.

She is survived by four sons, Michael A. Ferri and his wife Linda of Greene, RI, Paul V. Ferri and his wife Nancy of Narragansett, RI, Thomas J. Ferri and his wife Paula of Greene, RI and Mark A. Ferri of West Warwick, RI; 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Joseph, Gaetano and Anthony Calise.

After graduating from Central High School in 1945, Grace worked as a private secretary for several years for a private company in Providence. She participated in many sports in school and beyond.

Grace was the Author of "After the Ascension", a book containing spiritual and humanistic essays.

Grace was very proud of her Italian heritage and passed down many authentic Italian recipes over the years. Family dinners and holidays were always a big deal, and everyone had to be there…. or else, face the wrath!

Grace's family would like to thank all the individual caregivers that tended to Grace over the years and an extra thank you to the very professional and caring staff at Alpine Nursing Home as well as the Hospice team of Care New England.

At the family's request, Grace's services and burial will be private. Information and condolences at carpenterjenks.com.
