M. Arlene Gee Foster, age 93, of Breckenridge passed away Sunday, February 18, 2024, at My Michigan Medical Center in Midland. She was born April 22, 1930, in Wheeler the daughter of Amherst M. and Grace (Gay) Bott. She was a 1948 graduate of Breckenridge High School and married Frederick Gee on February 26, 1949. He preceded her in death on July 3, 1962. Arlene later married Williard Foster on November 5, 1976, he preceded her in death on February 10, 1996.
Arlene worked for many years as a Deputy Sheriff in Gratiot County and retired from the Secretary of State as a clerk. She was a faithful member of the Breckenridge United Methodist Church and enjoyed reading, gardening, embroidering and puzzles. Arlene will be deeply missed and remembered for her kind spirit.
Arlene is survived by four children, Sharla (Wes) Alspaugh, Kim Gee, Craig Gee, Nancy Gee; 16 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her fist husband, Frederick Gee; second husband, Willard Foster; a daughter-in-law, Leigh Ann Gee; a great-grandson, Trent Carter; her parents, and siblings, Robert Bott, Arthur Bott, Erma LaPaugh, Lois Gifford, Esther Foster, Thelma Lounsberry, Beulah Foster.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at 11 am at Lux and Whiting Funeral Chaple in Breckenridge. Interment will follow in Ridgelawn Cemetery, Breckenridge. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 21st from 4-7 pm at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions in Arlene's memory to the Breckenridge United Methodist Church or the Howe Memorial Library.
