M. Mariece Bone Obituary
MORTON – M. Mariece Bone, 107, Morton, passed away October 9, 2023, at Serenity Assisted Living in East Peoria.
She was born June 13, 1916, to Harry and Mildred (Robinson) Lyle in Fromberg, Mont. Mariece married Lester T. Bone on January 1, 1936, in East Peoria. He preceded her in death on January 1, 2007. She is also preceded in death by three sons, Robert L., Jerry L. and Harry T.; son-in-law, John G. Andrews; two grandchildren; and three sisters.
Surviving are her children, Shirley V. Andrews of Morton and Loren C. (Connie) Bone of Rockwood, Tenn.; daughter-in-law, MaryAnn Bone of Washington; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great grandchildren.
Mariece attended Oak Grove Bible Church in East Peoria, where she taught Sunday school and Deland Church of the Nazarene in Deland, Fla.
Mayor John Kahl declared June 13, 2023, as Mariece Bone Day in East Peoria.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, October 16, 2023, at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton, with Rev. Cliff Elliott officiating. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Roberts Cemetery in Morton.
Memorials may be made to Oak Grove Bible Church or Deland Church of the Nazarene.
