Groveland – Lloyd E. Marion, 94, of Groveland, passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at his home.

He was born on March 6, 1931, in Groveland to Oliver and Elsie (Casey) Marion.

Surviving are his two sons, Robert Marion of East Peoria, and Stanley (Belinda) Marion of Groveland; four step-children, Susan (Michael) Runyon-Davis of Clarksville, Georgia, Carol Jean Runyon of Wesley Chapel, Florida, Patricia (Joel) Postma of Phoenix, Arizona and Daniel Runyon of Tampa, Florida; 5 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 13 step grandchildren; and 12 step great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, BJ; two sons, Steven and Larry Marion; one brother, Harry Marion; and one sister, Lucille Slagel.

Lloyd was a life time farmer in Tazewell County.

Lloyd was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church in Peoria where a funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, February 13, 2026. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton. Further visitation will be from 9 to 9:45 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Roberts Cemetery in Morton.

Memorial donations may be made to First United Methodist Church in Peoria or a charity of the donor's choice.

Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton is handling arrangements.

I was fortunate to work with Lloyd from 1993 to 1997 where he was Road Foreman. There are a lot of fond memories while working with him and BJ at the Township. RIP "Lord Marion" my nickname for him. :-(
