Fort Kent--- Mabel Caron, age 90, entered into eternal life on July 10, 2025. She was born July 11, 1934, in Riviere Verte, NB, Canada, a daughter of the late Wilfred and Sophie (Dube) Lizotte.
Mabel worked as a LPN for many years at People's Benevolent Hospital, Fort Kent. After retiring, she enjoyed hobbies, such as planting flowers, crocheting, and knitting. She was also a very proud grandmother and great grandmother. She loved watching the children growing up.
She is survived by five children, Diane Gagne and companion Rejean Gagnon, Brian (Louise) Caron, Steven (Carlene) Caron, Lisa Vaillancourt, and Susan (Paul) Paradis, all of Fort Kent; seven grandchildren, Kimberly Gagnon and her partner Corey Simard, Kelly Caron, Kathy (Cody) Simoneau, Tom Caron and fiancée Amanda Foster, Chad (Kaitlyn) Vaillancourt, Brad (Justine) Vaillancourt, and Chelsea Paradis; and ten great-grandchildren; siblings, Constance (Denis) Jirardin, Huguette Manibog, Wilma Parks, Adrienne Lizotte, Marilyn (Francois) Cote, Irma Lizotte, William (Jacqueline) Lizotte, Lawrence (Monique) Lizotte, Theresa Lizotte, Herman (Gisele) Lizotte, Hermel (Jeanne D'Arc) Lizotte and Agathe Lizotte; and many nieces and nephews
Besides her parents, Mabel was predeceased by her loving husband of 66 years, Armand Caron, sons-in-law, Rosaire Gagne and Peter Vaillancourt; two grandchildren, Jessica Caron and Troy Caron; one great grandson, Tucker Caron; sister Gladys Francoeur; brother Vaughn Lizotte; brothers-in-law, Lucien Francoeur, Piloteo Manibog, and Johnnie Parks
The family of Mabel Caron would like to offer their appreciation to the doctors, nurses and staff of St. Joseph's Memory Care for the exceptional care and compassion that was given during Mabel's stay.
Interment will be held in St. Louis Catholic Cemetery in Fort Kent on Friday, July 18, 2025, at 1:00 PM. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home.
