Mabel Elizabeth Joiner Hadaway

Mabel Elizabeth Joiner Hadaway joined her heavenly family on May 24th, 2025. A funeral service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Columbiana on Friday, May 30th, 2025 with Minister Charles Powell officiating. Visitation will precede the service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the church. Interment will follow at Pinelawn Gardens. Bolton Funeral Home is directing.
Mrs. Hadaway is preceded in death by her husband: Bobby Leon Hadaway; her parents: Jack John Joiner and Stella Vick Joiner; her siblings: Clyde Joiner, Mildred Joiner Keown, Mary Nell Joiner Weldon, and Homer Coy Joiner.
She is survived by her children: Bryan Keith Franks (Valerie), Sheila Elizabeth Gray (Tim), Jeff Hadaway (Julie), Mike Hadaway (Jenny), and Kathy Hadaway Guillot (Kip); her brothers: Hubert Joiner and Leonard Joiner; along with a joyous blessing of many grand-children and great grand-children.
Mabel was a loving wife, mother, grand-mother, and great grand-mother. She took great pride in her family and celebrated every achievement and milestone along the way. Mabel was known as a wonderful cook and blessed many people over the years with her dishes and her many wonderful, Martha Stewart worthy, cakes and desserts.
Mabel and Bob were married for 42 years prior to his passing. They enjoyed a time spent living in Louisiana prior to moving back home and re-settling in their little house in the woods on Joiner Town Road. Camping and traveling our beautiful country was one of her greatest loves.
Mabel was known to her grands as many things, Mawmaw or MeMaw, and it was the belief of some that her house in the woods was simply magical. Mabel loved flowers and nature and her home reflected that love. Her home also reflected the love she had for her Lord and Savior and her family.
To the very end of her life she clung to her faith and the knowledge that she was safe in God's arms.
To the ones she leaves behind, we will cling to our memories and celebrate her new body and rejoice that she is now at peace.
