Mrs. Mable Hooper, age 82, passed away peacefully in her home on February 29, 2024 surrounded by her loved ones.
Mable was born in Moro, AR to Elbert and Irma Standridge. She married William Hooper (Bill) of Cleveland, TN on April 30, 1960 in Arkansas. Mable was an avid sports fan, she especially loved traveling anywhere to watch her children and grandchildren compete. She took great pride in welcoming everyone into her home and making sure no one left with an empty stomach; Cooking and gardening were her specialties. Her love for others didn't stop at her kitchen table, Mable spent over 30 years pouring into tons of children being a substitute teacher for the Bradley County School System. There were many things Mable enjoyed throughout her life, but there was nothing she loved more than her family, and there was no title she was more proud of than Grandmother. While she will be missed greatly by many, we find comfort in knowing she has been reunited with her love of 60 years and our Heavenly Father in her eternal home.
She was preceded in death by William Hooper (Bill), Elbert Standridge (Father), Irma Standridge (Mother), Imogene Gore (Sister), Geraldine Olszta (Sister), Joan Hobson (Sister), E.L. Standridge (Brother) and Fannie Standridge (step-mother)
She is survived by her children Kinny Hooper, Gregory Hooper (Connie), Lori Hutchins (Chris). Her grandchildren Hayes Hooper, Alexander Hooper, Sidney Hooper, Madison Hooper, Kins Hooper, Garrett Hutchins. Her siblings Knoxylene Bosnick, Ann Hood, Jerry Standridge (Sue), Mack Standridge (Amy) and an abundance of family and friends.
The family will be receiving visitors Tuesday, March 5, 2024 from 5-7 pm at Candies Creek Baptist Church.
The service will immediately follow.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to the Dementia Society of American in Mable's name.
