Mr. Mac Snelling

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mr. Mac Snelling, age 82 of Jefferson, Georgia who entered rest Thursday, March 28, 2024. Mr. Snelling was born in Hoschton, Georgia the son of the late Charlie James Marvin Snelling and the late Thelma Tallula McCarty Snelling. Mr. Snelling was a Vietnam Army Veteran, a member of the American Legion, the National Rifle Association, and was the retired owner of Temp Master Mechanical. In addition to his parents, Mr. Snelling is preceded by a sister, Betty Jean Bennett.
Survivors include his wife, Janice Gooch Snelling of Jefferson. Two sons, James Otis Snelling (Emily) of Jefferson and John Douglas Snelling (Megan) of Jefferson, and step daughter, Jennifer Wetherford (Randy) of Jefferson. Four grandchildren, Whit Wetherford, Jackson Snelling, John Henry Snelling and Duncan Snelling also survive.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Mr. Mac Snelling to the Humane Society of Jackson County, P.O. Box 567, Jefferson, Georgia 30549.
A gathering of Mac's friends for a time of enjoying each other's company will be held from 1:00 – 3:00 P.M. Saturday, April 13, 2024 at the Revival Hall Tap Room Event Venue, 18 South Public Square, Jefferson, Georgia.
