Mr. Mack Lane Strader, age 86, of Greensboro, NC, passed away peacefully early Monday morning, December 22, 2025. Mr. Strader was born in Rockingham County on February 20, 1939, to his father and mother, the late Carl E. Strader and the late Mildred Apple Strader. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to many. He will be missed by all who knew him.
For many years, he worked in real estate and maintenance. He was an avid golfer and good at what he loved to do. He enjoyed many days on the golf courses with his brothers and friends over the years. He loved to tell funny stories and joke around with his joyful humor and make everyone laugh anytime he was around you.
Surviving Mr. Strader is his son, Scott L. Strader (Teena) of McLeansville; his daughter, Amy S. Warfield (Tony) of McLeansville; grandchildren: Joshua Strader of Brown Summit, Brandy Jackson, Joseph Jackson, and Rebecca Jackson, all of Coats, NC; many great-grandchildren; nieces; and nephews. Brothers: Aubrey Strader (Edra) of Asheville, NC, Phillip Strader (Anne) of Greensboro; sisters: Brenda S. Beck of Greensboro and Jeannie Strader of Reidsville, NC.
Mr. Strader was preceded in death by his wife, Trilba B. Strader; brothers, Hayward Strader and Forrest Strader.
A private graveside memorial service will be held at Mt. Carmel Methodist Church Cemetery in Rockingham County. The family wishes to give thanks and appreciation to the doctors and staff of Ashton Health and Rehabilitation Center of McLeansville and Hospice of Guilford County. In lieu of flowers, the family appreciates that donations may be made to McLeansville Baptist Church Missions Fund, Frieden Church Rd., McLeansville, NC.
