Mackie Lee Johnson Sr.

Mackie L. Johnson Sr. was a truly remarkable individual, cherished by all who knew him. Described as the patriarch of both his immediate and extended family, he was a pillar of support who loved people. He never met a stranger.
His life was guided by a profound "love and heart for God." Mackie (ML) was a natural leader, known for his ability to motivate and inspire others, both within his community and professionally at Woodford Mfg. He was a dedicated provider, always ready to do what he could for anybody, especially for his beloved wife, Joyce, and their children. His favorite saying to his wife, "get out of God's business," perfectly captured his faithful and grounded spirit.
Mackie (ML) built a long and respected career at Woodford Mfg., starting in September 1978 and retired as a Commercial Yard Hydrant Group Leader in February 2014.
Outside of work and family life, he had distinct personal interests. He was a man of fashion, known for his stylish clothes and hats, and he was part of the "Colorado Springs Westside Crew." He enjoyed simple pleasures, such as being a daily customer at Golden Corral and loved to watch wrestling.
Mackie L. Johnson Sr. was a dependable, generous, and fashionable man whose legacy of leadership, faith, and selfless support lives on in the hearts of his loved ones.
