Madeline "Bobbi" B. Hangsleben, age 81 of East Grand Forks, MN, passed away on Monday, September 4, 2023 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND.
Madeline Blanche Hangsleben was born on June 3, 1942 in Germany Valley, PA, the daughter of Arthur and Mae Belle (Frankenberry) Stallman. Bobbi grew up and attended school in Mount Union, PA and graduated from Captain Jack High School with the Class of 1960.
Following her high school graduation, she moved to Minneapolis, MN and then to East Grand Forks, MN in 1961. On December 26, 1964 she was united in marriage to Jack Hangsleben in Rapid City, SD. They farmed in Rural East Grand Forks. Bobbi also helped start the Grand Forks Farmers Market. She loved the fall probably due to their large pumpkin crop and she enjoyed fishing. Later in life Bobbi met Les Vannet who became a dear friend and travel companion. She looked forward to his visits every summer.
Family members who survive Bobbi include her sister, Jean Dock of Green Valley, AZ; sister-in-law Judy King of Sioux Falls, SD, and brother-in-law Rocky (Joyce) Hangsleben of Solway, MN, along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack Hangsleben on September 12, 2007; three sisters and three brothers; and special friend Les Vannet.
FUNERAL SERVICE: 2:00 PM, Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at Dahl Funeral Home, 2029 Central Ave. NW, East Grand Forks, MN 56721. Funeral service will be live-streamed on Bobbi's page at www.dandahlfuneralhome.com
VISITATION: One hour prior to the funeral on Tuesday also at the funeral home.
INTERMENT: Memorial Park Cemetery, Grand Forks, ND.
MEMORIALS: Memorials are suggested to the Journey Home Animal Rescue.
