Madeline Lazarczyk Obituary
Madeline Lazarczyk of North Brunswick (formerly of Milltown), NJ passed away peacefully on December 16, 2023 at her home. She was 91 years old. Born in Brooklyn, Madeline was a resident of Milltown for over 60 years before later moving to North Brunswick. She was a devoted homemaker and wife, and a loving mother to her five children. Madeline was a faithful parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Milltown. She enjoyed bowling in her youth, was a County Fair award winning baker, as well as NJ State Fair first place winner with her chiffon cake, and loved the beach, in particular Avon by the Sea. Madeline liked the tomatoes from Giamerese Farms for her homemade tomato sauce. She was unfailingly charitable, particularly to the food bank at St. John's Church in New Brunswick. Madeline greatly enjoyed bingo in her later years, especially when she won, because she derived immense joy from saving those winnings to give to her beloved grandchildren. Family, faith, and charity were the bedrock of Madeline's well-lived life.
Predeceased by her beloved husband of 61 years John in 2017, her brother Thomas Benedict, and son-in-law Scott Kentros; Madeline is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Robert and Judy Lazarczyk, son John Lazarczyk, daughters and sons-in-law Theresa and Joseph Howarth and Patricia and Kevin Power, daughter Nancy Lazarczyk; eight grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Allison, Kelly, Kristi, Sean, Ben, Jack, and Mason; great-grandchildren: Hunter and Austin, and siblings Theodore Benedict and Gloria Blumig.
Family and friends will be received Wednesday, January 3 from 4:00pm – 8:00pm at the Bronson and Guthlein Funeral Home of Milltown. The funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday 10:00am at Our Lady of Lourdes Church followed by burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Jamesburg, NJ.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Milltown Rescue Squad.
