Saddened to just hear of this.
Madeline was an amazing woman... Her beautiful spirit shined inside and out... My son Daniel and I had the pleasure of meeting Madeline at the Columbus citizens foundation where she sponsored my son for St Joseph by the Sea High School. Her generous scholarship awarded my son the opportunity to continue his studies and advance himself towards college. Our story does not end there...
While in high school Daniel developed an almost crippling medical condition in his right knee where the bone in his knee cap began to disintegrate. He needed bone reconstruction surgery from a donor cadaver. His grades slipped due to extensive rehab recovery and he lost his scholarship... When Madeline learned of this she reinstated his scholarship and monitored Daniels recovery and progress. He graduated on the schools football team, his health thriving and with 12 college credits. She never lost faith in my son nor did I and will always be grateful to her. Rest in peace Madeline.... Mark and Daniel Frunzi

I first met Madeline in 2020 on the subway while heading in to work - which, for those who knew her and for those who didn´t, the way we met was a quintessential example of who she was as a person and a true testament to how vivacious, friendly, and bold she was.

We each always rode in the same train car on our way to work and often traveled at the same time, catching up about life while the rest of the car was still half asleep.

Madeline took me under her wing, welcomed me into her life and into her home, and she welcomed me into her heart. I learned a lot from Madeline about life, friendship, love, and being a bold woman and I am so grateful for our time together.

I will really miss Madeline, but will think about her often, with a smile, with a chuckle, and with a tremendous amount of gratitude.

I will always remember Madeline for her dedication to her friends and the causes she believed in. We had a lot of fun working on the Columbus Citizens silent auction committee. I will miss seeing her at the PAL events. May she rest in peace.
