Sussex - Madison "Matt" E. Vance, Jr. age 52, passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at Newton Medical Center. Born in Sussex to the late Madison E. Vance, Sr. and Patricia (Frato) Vance, Matt graduated from High Point Regional High School and had lived in Sussex all of his life. He was employed as a Production Control Heat Treat Supervisor at McWilliams Forge in Rockaway. Matt had a sarcastic sense of humor that sometimes was a bit off color, but yet it was this sense of humor that let people see the funny side of him. He enjoyed being involved in his community and helping people, which showed with his commitment while serving on the Wantage First Aid Squad. He was an accomplished bowler and was on various leagues; including Brogan Cadillac Classic at T-Bowl II, Monday Night Mixed at Rockaway Lanes, NoDell at Boonton Lanes and subbed at Sparta Lanes for various leagues. Matt was a proud member of the PBA Bowling League and the Bowlero PBA. He also was a huge NJ Devils Hockey fan. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Lester and Antoinette (Foti ) Frato; his paternal grandparents, Ken and Alice (Anthony) Vance; his sister, Robin T. Vance; and his uncle, Kenny Vance. He is survived by his daughter, Isabella Vance and her mother, Nicole Rivera of Hampton; his son, Brandon Hebb-Vance of Wharton; his two sisters, Ann Wood and her husband Grant of Sussex and Christine Vette and her husband Jim of Vernon; his uncle, Anthony Frato and his wife Betty of Branchville; his great aunt and uncle, Freddie and Gloria Frato; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Private cremation and burial services will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial donations in Madison's memory to the Wantage First Aid Squad, P.O. Box 721, Wantage, NJ 07461. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.pinkelfuneralhome.com
