Abbeville-A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:30 PM on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church honoring the life of Mae Cecile Landry Hebert, 95, who died Monday, January 1, 2024 at The Vermilion at Eastridge. She will be laid to rest at St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery with Fr. Louis Richard officiating the services. Those serving as pallbearers will be Kyle Duhon, Jansen Hebert, John Hebert, Luke Hebert, Jacob Gaspard, and Dustin Landry.
Our mother, Mae was one-of-a-kind and she always gave with a generous heart.
She was loved and cherished by her family and her many, many friends. Mom and Dad were the best parents we could have ever hoped for… Remembering all the precious moments we shared through the years…family vacations with dear friends, all the weddings and graduations…all the grandbabies and great grandbabies, all the holiday gatherings with delicious meals cooked with loving care… These special moments that will live forever in our hearts. It is the love during all that God gives us the opportunity to have the greatest emotions. It is comforting to know that Mom and Dad are now blissfully together once again sharing a beautiful new beginning of their love.
She is survived by two sons, Patrick Hebert (Kim) of Nunez, LA, and John Luke Hebert (Rhonda) of Grapevine, TX; four daughters, Carolyn Ann Hebert of Lafayette, LA, Carmen Marie Hebert of Carencro, LA, Lisa Ruth Faulk (Tommy) of Abbeville, LA, and Ida Louise Butler (Cliff) of Maurice, LA; 14 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Terville Landry and the former Ida Bernard; her husband, John Lovelace Hebert; her sisters, Lucy Connor, and Aline LeBlanc; her brother, Ned Landry; and her grandson, Corey Gaspard.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles St., on Thursday, January 4, 2024 from 9:00 AM until 2:15 PM with a rosary being prayed at 1:30 PM.
