Magda Elizabeth Kovacs, age 91, passed away on September 9, 2025. Born in Hungary on January 5, 1934, to the late Sandor and Julianna Tamas, Magda brought warmth, creativity, and unwavering kindness into the lives of all who knew her. She was preceded in death in 2023 by her beloved husband, Charles J. Kovacs, with whom she shared nearly 68 years of marriage after their wedding in December 1955. Together, they built a life rooted in love, laughter, and faith. Magda is survived by her devoted children, Clyde (Cora) Kovacs and Magdolna (Zsolt) Muszka, who carry forward her legacy of compassion and generosity. She was not only a loving mother but also a grandmotherly figure to many-her nurturing spirit extended far beyond her immediate family. Known for her selflessness, Magda would do anything for anyone. Her kitchen was a place of comfort and joy, where she shared her talent for cooking and created cherished memories with her children. She found delight in playing cards with Charles and their friends, and her artistic talents shone through in her exquisite embroidery and crochet work, each piece a testament to her patience and creativity. A devoted Christian, Magda lived her faith through acts of kindness and grace. Her gentle heart and caring nature left an indelible mark on everyone she met. Magda's life was a beautiful tapestry of love, service, and artistry. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered. Memorial visitation will be held at Sunset Memorial, Legacy building, 6451 Columbia Road, Olmsted Township, Ohio 44138 on Friday, September 19, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. with Memorial Service at 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Magda's memory to: Port Orange Presbyterian Church 4662 Clyde Morris Blvd. Port Orange, FL 32129 (for the food pantry and helping struggling families)
