Magdalena "Maggie" Majewski Ascolillo, 48, of
Carlisle, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at her home on September 6, 2025, surrounded by loved ones after a brave and courageous battle with ALS. Maggie's vibrant spirit touched countless lives and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Born on March 24, 1977, in Lubin, Poland, Maggie was the cherished daughter of Teresa and Czeslaw Majewski and loving sister to Martin Majewski. At just ten years old, she emigrated with her family to the United States in 1987, a journey that shaped her into the determined and ambitious woman her family and friends knew and loved. She grew up embracing new challenges, shining as an outgoing, conscientious, and fun-loving student-athlete. In her youth, Maggie was an honor student and excelled in field hockey, softball, volleyball, and track. She carried her passion for sports and love of movement throughout her life. An avid runner and skier, Maggie also found joy in nature, photography, and exploring new places through her travels.
Driven by a desire to help others, Maggie earned her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from the University of Delaware in 2000, and in 2003, she received a Master of Science in Nutritional Biochemistry and a Master of Public Health with a concentration in biostatistics from Tufts University. Her intelligence, savvy, and care for others inspired all who knew her-qualities she poured into her work, her family, and her community. Most recently, Maggie enjoyed a fulfilling career as Director of Clinical Data Management at Cogent Biosciences where her expertise was applied towards the valiant effort of searching for effective cancer treatment therapies.
Nothing brought Maggie more fulfillment than being a loving mother to her cherished sons, Sam (born 2008) and Nolan (born 2011). Always present and supportive, she not only cheered passionately from the sidelines but also served as their teams' coach in their early years, encouraging their confidence and character. As a devoted member of her community, Maggie took pride in serving as a PTO room parent every year through middle school, offering her warmth and guidance to her sons and their classmates alike. Through countless baseball games, photography sessions, hikes, travels, and family ski trips, Maggie captured and celebrated the beauty of everyday moments.
A devout Catholic, Maggie's faith was a guiding force in her life. She approached life and its challenges with grace, gratitude and humility. Her kindness and generosity were unmatched-she was the first to extend her hand to friends and neighbors, always willing to listen or help.
Maggie is survived by her sons, Sam and Nolan; her parents, Teresa and Czeslaw Majewski; her brother, Martin Majewski (Katherine); her nephew, Jacob Majewski; and her loving partner, Keith Lindenboom. She also leaves behind many dear friends, along with uncles, aunts, and cousins in Poland.
Maggie's life and memory will be honored during visiting hours on Saturday, September 13th from 5 to 7 pm at the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Irene Parish, 181 East Street, in
Carlisle, Massachusetts, on Sunday, September 14th at 2:30 pm. All are invited to a reception immediately following the Mass. Burial will be private at Green Cemetery, Carlisle.
In lieu of flowers, Maggie kindly requested donations be made to
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the ALS Therapy Development Institute -charities close to her heart.
