Magdalena "Maggie" Slowik

Magdalena "Maggie" Slowik, 49, of Metuchen, passed away suddenly at her home on Monday, September 9, 2024.
Born in Krakow, Poland, she came to the United States in 1986, resided in Brooklyn and Queens before moving to Metuchen 11 years ago.
Maggie received her bachelor's degree from The State University of New York at New Paltz.
She was a Service Delivery Manager for American Express in New York City since 2006.
Maggie was a loving mother, sister, daughter, and aunt. She was a true ray of sunshine. She touched many people's hearts and found countless amounts of ways to put smiles on everyone's face from complimenting their outfits to giving them "Maggie Hugs".
She was devoted to everything she involved herself in, whether it was being proactive in her children's sports clubs, to being involved in their academic lives, and to her job both at home and at work. She was selfless, ambitious, and truly heaven sent. Maggie had the purest heart of gold, and I know her memory will forever live on through our family as well as her community who loved her so dearly. She will truly be missed by all.
Surviving are her two sons, Lucas Slowik and Jaden Slowik-Perez, both of Metuchen: her mother, Grazyna Slowik of Brooklyn; her father Józef Slowik of St. Augustine, FL; her sister, Margaret Slowik- Quinones and her husband Jose Quinones of Brooklyn, and her niece Skyler Slowik Quinones and her nephew Justin Slowik Quinones of Brooklyn.
The Visitation will take place on Saturday, September 14, 2024, from 2-6pm and Sunday September 15, 2024, from 2-6pm at Costello-Runyon Funeral Home, 568 Middlesex Ave., Metuchen.
