Anne Basile Obituary

Born in Beaver Meadows, PA, she resided in Edison since 1955. Anne was a parishioner of St. Helena Catholic Church, Edison.
She was a strong woman who raised four children while helping to support a business that her husband started. She loved family, traveling, good food, opera, pinochle, and watching tennis and baseball.
She was predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Anthony (d. 2018) and their infant son, Anthony John.
Surviving are her children, Narda Basile of South Plainfield, Holly Ferraro and her husband Mark of Somerset, Valerie Grunther and her husband Jeffrey of Prescott, AZ, and Jan Basile of Edison; two granddaughters, Jill Nilson and her husband Eric of Brick , Rebecca Benevento and her husband Anthony of Piscataway and one great-grandson Gio Benevento.
A Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 10:00am at St. Helena Catholic Church, 950, Grove Ave., Edison, followed by the burial of cremains at Hillside Cemetery, Metuchen.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Anne's memory to:
St. Matthias School Tuition Angels Fund, 170 John F. Kennedy Boulevard, Somerset, NJ 08873 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at stjude.org.
