Joseph Anthony Basile Jr., 67, of Winston, GA, passed away on October 2, 2025. He was born on August 20, 1958, the son of the late Joseph Anthony Basile Sr., the late Doris Mae Wagner, and late stepfather William Edward Wagner.
Joseph's life was a tapestry woven with rich experiences and a spirit of generosity that touched everyone around him.
Throughout his career, Joseph was known for his exceptional skills and dedication as a Parts Manager, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues in the automotive industry. Beyond his professional achievements, he had a vibrant personality that endeared him to many. An avid fan of Georgia Bulldogs football, Joseph found immense joy in cheering for his team, and his enthusiasm was contagious. He also had a passion for golf, often participating in tournaments that allowed him to blend his love for the sport with camaraderie among friends.
Joseph's zest for life extended to his hobbies, including a profound love for cooking. Many fond memories were created around his kitchen, where he delighted in preparing meals for family and friends and spent many weekends watching cooking shows with his wife and children. His travels often took him to the sunny shores of Florida, where he enjoyed beach days filled with laughter and relaxation, always finding peace with the sun on his shoulders, sand under his feet, and in the sound of crashing waves.
A devoted dog lover, Joseph shared his home with his beloved dogs Sophie and Tessa, who brought him immeasurable joy and companionship. Though Tessa has since passed, the love and affection Joseph had for his furry friends were a testament to his loving and selfless nature.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Denise Basile.
He is survived by sons, Joseph Basile III and Gregory (and his wife Mariana) Basile ; sisters, Becky Bishop and Patricia Scott; nephews, Matthew Wagner, David (and his partner Anne) Scott, Jr., and Brian Scott; great niece and nephew, Olivia Scott and David Scott III; aunt, Sandy Basile; close friends, Brenda, Peggy and the Newton Family; and childhood friend, Chuck Owens.
In accordance with his wishes, he will be cremated.
Joseph will be remembered as a loving, people-oriented individual whose kindness knew no bounds. His legacy of compassion and friendship will remain in the hearts of all who had the honor of knowing him. He leaves behind family and friends that mourn his passing while celebrating a life well-lived.
