Mrs. Magdalene Anna Carr

Carr Magdalene Anna Carr, 89, of Lancaster, passed away on Sunday evening at Homestead Village in Lancaster. Born in Lancaster and a lifelong area resident, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Mary Phelan. She was the wife of the late Leroy C. Carr, Sr. who passed away in September 1980. She had worked as an office clerk for the former Oblender's Furniture store in Lancaster for many years. She enjoyed reading and being with her family and grandchildren. Magdalene will be lovingly remembered by her children; Richard "Pat" Carr of Lancaster, Leroy C. Jr., husband of Donna M. Carr of Lancaster, Marianne Gibble, companion of Marcel Janousek of East Petersburg, five grandchildren; Jeffrey S. Carr, Paula L., wife of Scott Andrews, Pamela R., wife of Charles H. Rhine III, Allison L. Carr and Patrick L. Carr, and three great grandchildren; Brooks, Maxwell and Emma Rose Carr. She was preceded in death by her four brothers; Joseph, Michael, John and Harold Phelan. Private graveside services will be held at Riverview Burial Park.
