With heavy hearts and deep love, the family of Maggie Dutchover announces her passing at the age of 89. Maggie left this world peacefully, surrounded by the love she spent a lifetime giving to others.

She leaves behind two children, along with a beautiful and ever-growing legacy of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren who will carry her spirit forward.

Maggie was the last surviving child of 17, a testament to her strength, resilience, and the fierce heart she inherited from her Apache ancestors, with whom she now walks proudly in the next life. She joins her beloved late husband and her oldest son in heaven, reunited at last.

Maggie was known for her fire, her stubborn streak, and the way she always got things done—no matter what life threw her way. She loved her animals deeply and cared for everyone around her with a heart that never ran out of room. She was fashionable, glamorous, and unapologetically herself—always in her heels, nails done, jewelry shining, and makeup perfect.

She brought laughter everywhere she went—funny, full of life, and the kind of woman who could brighten a room just by walking in. She loved to dance, celebrate, and enjoy the moment, reminding everyone that joy should never be saved for later.

Even now, Maggie wouldn’t want tears—she would want celebration. She always said to “take a beer, be happy, and don’t cry.” So as we say goodbye, we honor her the way she would want: with love, with stories, with laughter, and with grateful hearts for the time we got to share with her.

Maggie will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.

Funeral services for Maggie will be held Friday, November 28, 2025, beginning with a visitation from 12:00 PM at Alpine Memorial Funeral Home in Alpine, Texas, followed by a graveside service at 2:00 PM at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Fort Davis, Texas.
