Malaya O. Sears

On June 26, 2023, our world came to an end when our beautiful and perfect baby, Malaya Sears, passed away at just 19 years old. Malaya graduated from Belen High School class of 2023 on May 16th and was so excited about her wonderful bright future as a flight attendant. She was so thrilled about her upcoming Graduation Party on July 15th and her family and friends couldn't wait to celebrate all her achievements. As much as we wish she made it to that day, she will be celebrating with Jesus instead. Malaya was loved and adored by everyone she met. She had a kindness and a beauty that radiated from the inside out and she left a footprint in everyone's heart because she was unforgettable. To know Malaya was to love Malaya and how blessed were we to have had our baby in our lives. Too good for this world, she was a beacon of bright light to others and she always had a smile on her face in life that was contagious and beautiful. Malaya will now be going on to greater adventures, taking with her each and every one of our hearts. We will love you our baby until we take our lasts breaths and one day we will all be together again and never let you go. Malaya was preceded in death by her father, Frank Sears; paternal grandmother, Francisca Sanchez and maternal grandparents, Phillip and Florence Garcia and uncles, Leonard Ferguson and Chris Sanchez. She is survived by her grandparents, Richard and Phyllis Sanchez; mother, Andrea Sanchez Saitta (Charles); dad, Adam (Heuro) Montoya and the entire Montoya Family; sister, Angelica Andrade and her children, Alicia & Andrea Larson; brother, Ashton Gloetzner; uncle, Mario Sanchez; aunt, Monica Sanchez "Nina" and her children, Elijah Goodall and Ealyah Esquivel; aunt, Mariah Sanchez and her children, Mariano & Luciano as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
