Malcolm Lynn Colbert

Mr. Malcolm Lynn Colbert, age 77, of Flowery Branch, GA, went to his eternal home, Thursday, November 17, 2022 with his family by his side.
Memorial Services will be 1:00 p.m., Monday, December 5, 2022 in the Chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home. Dr. Ron Westbury will officiate. The family will receive friends 12:00 – 1:00 p.m., Monday, December 5, 2022 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.
Mr. Colbert was born February 15, 1945 in Bath, New York. A United States Air Force veteran, Malcolm served at bases in Alaska and Michigan, and one very cold winter in Wichita Falls, Texas. He was a faithful Christian who attended Multiply Church in Flowery Branch, he loved the Lord, his family, church and community. Malcolm worked for AT&T as a Support Services District Manager, retiring with them in 1998. He then started a new career with The Gale Company, as Vice President-Facility Manager, retiring for a second and final time in 2006.
Malcolm was vibrant and full of energy. He would light up a room and energize those around him with thoughtful and caring remarks, and Malcolm never met a stranger. He loved to dance and had an extensive music and movie collection, one that he loved to share with family and friends. Malcolm was a passionate golfer and member of the Royal Lakes Country Club.
Mr. Colbert is survived by his wife, Sheila Carroll Colbert; son, David (Jenny) Colbert; daughter, Angie Rohan; and grandchildren, Christian Colbert, Kaitlynn Colbert, Brady Rohan and Layla Rohan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther & Louise Colbert; and brothers, Eric Colbert, Mark Colbert, and David Colbert.
