Malcolm A. Priest, 91, passed away Sunday, November 12, 2023 surrounded by family at the Maine Veterans Home Augusta. Malcolm was born July 6, 1932 in Guilford, Maine to the late Arthur Priest and Margurite Brandon Priest. He was one of eight children and attended West Peru School. Malcolm married Barbara Mae Vaughn March 25th, 1952 and had 4 children. Malcolm served in the Army as a Paratrooper and received the Purple Heart for being wounded in the Korean War.
He was a truck driver all his life in one way or another and loved it. He enjoyed spending time with his family, playing bingo, hunting, fishing and working in his shop. Malcolm leaves behind his wife Barbara his children Michael and his wife Judy, Barry his wife Jackie, Wendy her husband Keith and Penny and her husband John. 7 grand children, 6 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren and sisters Charlene Swan and Gloria Tyler. A funeral service will be held December 2nd at noon at Gracelawn Memorial Park 980 Turner Street in Auburn. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Maine Veterans Home 35 Hero's Way Augusta.
