Malena Mick, of Belton, passed away on October 12, 2025, at the age of 51. Services will be at a later date.
She was born on May 28, 1974, in Temple, Texas, to Gary Watkins and Alice Watkins.
Malena had a rare gift of loving people just as they were. She didn’t judge, just simply cared. If you needed help, she was there, no questions asked. She had a heart that was full of love and her kindness reached everyone she met.
She was strong, resilient and full of light. Her laughter could change the whole energy of a room, and her presence made people feel at home. She loved to dance, take trips, go to Texas Roadhouse, or just stay in with her family and friends.
More than anything, Malena loved her children and grandchildren. They were her whole world, and she made every moment with them feel special. She has left this world, but her spirit will never leave us.
Malena is survived by her loving partner, Louis Lee, Sr., her children; Alicia Hooks, Dakota Mick and wife Lynn, Gunner Mick and wife Shyanee, and Louis Lee, Jr.; her mother, Alice Watkins, and her siblings; Michael Watkins and wife Bobbi, Shawn Watkins, Tina Hill-Currie, and Margaret Watkins and husband Walter, and Erin Hill and husband Jaron; and her grandchildren, Dennis Everette Ray Hooks, Azalena Rose Patino, Dakota James Mick, Jr., Evalynn Coy Mick, and Melba Elizabeth Mick. She will also be deeply missed by her many nieces and nephews, who brought her joy throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Cloan and Jean Kull.
As we remember Malena Mick, we celebrate a life filled with love, devotion, and a spirit that enriched the lives of countless others. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
