Mandy Lynn Hoggan, of
Ogden, Utah, a charismatic and spirited soul, was born on August 28, 1981, and returned to her Heavenly Father on January 13, 2026. Born in Ogden, Mandy was a radiant beacon of determination and courage, who, throughout her life, demonstrated an unwavering faith and a tenacity that inspired all who had the privilege of knowing her. She fought a good fight, kept the faith, and despite facing numerous medical challenges, she never allowed her spirit to waver.
Known for her inspiring and infectious zest for life, Mandy's achievements were a testament to her indomitable spirit. Serving three service missions at the Bishop's Storehouse, she was an active and endowed member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In her service and her faith, Mandy embodied the scripture, "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me" (Philippians 4:13). She loved participating in Special Mutual and was a dedicated member of Little People of America, attending many conferences. Mandy was also the poster-child for the Easter Seals charity. Mandy and her parents gave handicap awareness assemblies in local schools and churches for many years.
Mandy's spirited determination shone brightly in her sporting accomplishments too. She was an active participant in the Special Olympics, competing in bowling and bocce, her chest full of medals a silent testament to her dedication and competitiveness. Mandy also found great joy in diamond art, a hobby that allowed her creativity to shine. Mandy also enjoyed attending Native American PowWows.
Mandy's father Jim has portrayed Santa Claus for many years. Mandy has found great joy in being Santa's "Real Elf" since she was three years old.
Mandy is survived by her adoring family: her father Jim Hoggan; her brothers Troy (Suzie), Shay, Ryan (Christine); her sisters Heidi (Dave) Krieve and Heather Unkena. She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Debbie Hoggan. Mandy's legacy of love, courage, and faith continues to live on through her family and numerous friends.
