Born on April 13, 1953, in Luang Prabang, Laos, Manichan was the daughter of Pai Pouk Mecksavanh and Chanpheng Mecksavanh. She was the fifth of ten children.
Manichan attended high school and college in Laos before moving to the United States. She worked at Thermo Fisher Scientific in Portsmouth, where she was valued by her colleagues and friends.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Khammouan Khamvongsa, and her son, Santivong Khamvongsa.
Survivors include her sons, Keopasong Khamvongsa and Vongprasith Khamvongsa; her daughter, Khammany Keokominh, her son in-law Bouasa Keokominh. Her grandchildren, Nadia Keokominh, Angelina Kekokominh, Kaylani Kekokominh, Manny Kekokominh, and Cierra Khamvongsa; her sisters; and many nieces and nephews who will miss her deeply.
A Buddhist service in her honor will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Kent & Pelczar Funeral Home & Crematory, 77 Exeter Road (Route 108), Newmarket, NH. Cremation services will follow at Great Bay Crematory on-site.
