Manjulaben Vashee, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on September 22nd, 2025.

Born on February 14, 1937, in Dhanori, India, she was the eldest daughter of Bhikubhai and Lalitaben Naik. On April 27, 1955, she married Jayantibhai R. Vashee. In 1957, she joined him in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, where together they began building their life and raising three sons.

In Zimbabwe, Manjulaben played an active role in growing the family business, OK Store. She was a woman of resilience and determination, but above all, she believed family was the most important foundation in life. She adapted gracefully to every place she lived, being fluent in a total of four languages, Gujarati, Hindi, English and Ndebele, so she could fully connect with the community around her.

Her life was defined by selflessness. Everything she did was for the next generation of her family. She was the glue that held everyone together-the pillar and focal point of the family tree. Through letters, she kept extended relatives updated and united. She could effortlessly find connections whether it be common friends or familial relations at any gathering.

In early 1983, Manjulaben immigrated with her family to the United States through the sponsorship of her brother, Gunvantbhai B. Naik. Once again, she demonstrated strength and adaptability. Alongside her family, she took an active part in running the family's motel business while continuing to care for her household.

In the past five years, she resided at Alameda Nursing Home, where her kindness and gentle spirit earned her deep affection from both staff and fellow residents.

Manjulaben was preceded in death by her brother, Gunvantbhai; her beloved eldest son, Jayesh, and her devoted husband and soulmate, Jayantibhai. She is survived by her sister, Sudhaben Naik; sons, Yatin and Sanjay; daughters-in-law, Rita and Rita; grandchildren, Jaimit, Priyanka, Sahil, and Isha; and great-granddaughter, Elina.

She will be remembered for her unwavering devotion to her family, her strength, her compassion, and her ability to make everyone feel like family. She was ahead of her time, forging a path for other women to follow. Her love leaves a lasting legacy that will continue to guide and inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.
