Manuel Pedro Amaral

Manuel P. Amaral, 92 of Attleboro, passed away on November 16, 2025 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Manuel was born on December 15, 1932, in São Miguel, Portugal, and he spent his formative years in Candelaria, São Miguel, Azores before making Attleboro his home in 1968.
A man of strong faith, Manuel was a communicant of the former Holy Ghost Church in Attleboro and a current communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church. He was a member of the Portuguese American Club in Attleboro and was recognized for his dedicated service at Attleboro Dye and Finishing for 12 years as well as Texas Instruments for 16 years. Manuel had a love for the simple joys of life, including fishing, gardening, traveling, and most importantly, spending time with his family.
Manuel is survived by his beloved wife, Maria Celeste Amaral of Attleboro; his three daughters, Ana Aguiar of Attleboro, Grace Dias and her husband Jose of Attleboro and Gabriela Feteira and her husband John of Bourne; his son, Manuel Amaral Jr. and his wife Angel of Attleboro; his grandchildren, Jennifer Taveres of East Falmouth, Yvette Onoyan, John Feteira Jr., Christine Feteira, Amanda Dias, Melanie Aguiar, Timothy Aguiar and Sebastian Amaral all of Attleboro. He also leaves his brother, Antero Amaral of Attleboro and his seven great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jose P. Amaral and Ermelinda da Ponte, his son-in-law, Albert Aguiar and siblings, Jose Amaral, Carlos Amaral and Gilberta Amaral.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation from 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck Street, Attleboro. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, 133 North Main Street, Attleboro. Interment will take place following the Mass at St. John's Cemetery, 165 West Street, Attleboro.
