Manuel Eloy Chavez

Manuel Eloy Chavez, born on November 25th, 1938, in Mountainair, New Mexico, passed Away on February 28th, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Manuel lived a life rooted in faith, hard work, laughter, and a deep love for his family.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Carmen, with whom he built a life centered on commitment and devotion. Together they raised four children: Lydia, Margie, Dolores, and Manual Jr. Being "Dad" was one of Manuel's proudest roles, and he carried it with strength, guidance, and unconditional love.

Manuel was Blessed with eleven grandchildren: Robert, Tanny, Victoria, Natalie, Christine, Cesar, Matthew, Aaliyah, Julia, Christian, and Addi. He was also the proud great-grandfather of fourteen: Rebecca, Sofia, Hagan, Aliana, Joel, Isabella, Loretta, Juan Carlos, Neveah, Andrew, Aria, Zachary, Ezekiel, and Mila. His Family was his greatest joy and his most treasured accomplishment.

A Hardworking man throughout his life, Manuel worked on roofs, never afraid of long days or tough labor to provide for those he loved. He was known for his humor, his strong work ethic and loved spending time at the casino, enjoying the thrill and fun it brought him.

Manuel will be remembered for his funny remarks, his resilience, his deep love for God, and the steady presence he was in the lives of so many. Though he will be deeply missed, his legacy lives on in the generations he leaves behind- in their strength, their faith, and their laughter.

His love remains in our hearts.
