Gary Dean Halliburton

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gary Dean Halliburton, who unexpectedly left us after a short battle with cancer on December 9, 2025, at the age of 68.

Gary was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend. Known for his laugh, kindness, humble nature, talking with anybody, and never wanting to be a bother to anyone. He loved nothing more than spending time with his son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren. Gary was also an active person who loved spending his time outside always doing yard work but also loved watching any sport that was on T.V while always cheering on his Broncos.

Gary graduated from Thoreau High school and grew up in Hobbs NM. He spent most of his Career working in the oil and gas industry in both Hobbs and Farmington NM.

He leaves behind his son Aaron (Cheyanne) Halliburton with Asher (3) and Charlee (4mo) of Aztec NM; brother Richard (Rosalind) Halliburton of Lubbock TX; Sister Deana Mikus of Arlington TX ; half-sister Stephanie (Edward) Baca of Albuquerque; step-brother Robert (Michelle) Stearns of Capitan NM; step-mother Mary Jane Halliburton of Albuquerque, NM, In addition to, many nieces and nephews. We take comfort in knowing he is now at peace with his wife Cheryl, his parent Leo Dean and Mary, his in-laws Larry and Janice that proceeded Gary's death.

His absence leaves a void in our family that will never be filled. Due to the unexpected passing of Gary, the family is asking for time to plan a celebration of his life for Gary. In lieu of gifts and flowers at this time, Aaron and his family would greatly appreciate donations to assist with memorial services and this transitional time without him.
