I always enjoyed being in the 1st Free Chorale while living in Rockford, and the privilege of singing alongside Manny & Karen, usually in the top row in choir practice. Manny had a wonderful tenor voice and his love for the LORD was evident in everything he said and sang. Manny was like a brother to me...though I can't be at the service on Saturday, Karen, his daughters, and the rest of his family will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. May God fill them with comfort and peace, knowing that Manny is now singing in the heavenly choir!

Mr Livesay helped me a great deal with my speech impediment. He was always very patient with me. I will never forget him. Rest easy Mr Livesay...

Memories of Manny have been powerfully reinforced in his passing. He and I shared close birth dates, wedding dates, and two daughters. Manny was my recruiter to the Rockford Gideons camp. His quartet gave a spiritual thrill to all within their four decades. In the recent 50th Annual Patriotic Celebration his powerful performance was an inspiration to all and I was honored to sing next to him as alumni choir. Other comparable conditions are beyond this brief entry, yet I trust many more this week will be blessed and made ready to share our future with our Lord, as in one of the quartet songs, "In His Time."

Manny and his brother Larry were great examples of using music to share the Gospel. There is music is heaven and Manny's there to help lead.

I remember the King's Men Four as a kid growing up at First Free. I know his family will miss him temporarily until they are reunited for eternity.
