Manuel F. Parra, a man of wisdom and love, passed away peacefully on Christmas Day, Wednesday, December 25, 2024, at the age of 79.
He was preceded in death by his Wife Geraldine Parra, Son Abraham Parra, Father Frank Parra, Mother Juanita Ulibarri, Sister Lorena Anaya and Grandson Jerry Paul Perea.
Manuel was survived by Son Martin Parra (Rita), Daughters Veronica Parra and Elviria Parra, Sisters Cynthia Ulibarri and Francine Salas. Grandchildren Natasha Parra (Joseph Marino), Deanne (Jerry) Padilla, Nicole Parra, Geraldine Perea, Manual Parra, Ralph (Diana) Parra, Mary Parra, Martin Parra II, and Oracle Parra. Great Grandchildren Aaliyah, Joseph, Emiliano, Johnny, Emilano, Eliza, Amiyah, Elias, Jizelle, Isariah, Roman, Amilia, Abraham, Mateo. Along with many other extended family.
Born on May 10, 1945, in Los Angeles, California, Manuel's life was a vivid tapestry of dedication and joy, woven with the threads of his passions and the love for his family.
A true cornerstone of our family, he filled our lives with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories. Manuel was more than just a father and grandfather; he was a protector, guide, and a great supporter.
Above all, Manuel treasured his family. He often said that his greatest success was his children, and he dedicated himself to their happiness and well-being. His presence was a constant in their lives, providing support, guidance, and an unwavering foundation of care.
In his quiet moments, Manuel could be found surrounded by his cherished collection of antiques and the memories of his adventures and the stories he loved to share. Manuel's legacy is one of strength and perseverance. He had a unique ability to listen deeply, imparting his wisdom in a way that was both gentle and impactful. His warm smile and generous spirit left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew him.
Manuel's zeal for life was infectious, and his love for travel took him to many destinations, his favorite was Las Vegas. He celebrated his family's joys as if they were his own. While our hearts ache with his passing, we take comfort in knowing his legacy lives on through the laughter he inspired and the love he shared so freely.
As we say farewell to Manuel F. Parra, we celebrate the remarkable life he led and the countless ways in which he enriched our lives.
His memory will continue to inspire and guide us, just as his presence once did. Manuel's journey through life was a testament to the enduring power of love and the importance of family, and his story will be cherished for generations to come.
Manuel's Life Celebration will begin with a Visitation on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at 9:30am at St. Augustine Catholic Church located at 71 Tribal Rd 35, 87022. Rosary will be recited at 10:00am. Mass will begin at 10:30am. Manuel will be laid to rest following the Mass at Pajarito Cemetery located at the corner of Pajarito and Coors SW. Reception will follow at the Pajarito Senior Site located at 6080 Isleta Blvd SW, 87105.
Pallbearers will be Martin Parra I, Manuel Parra, Ralph Parra, Martin Parra II, Joseph Garcia, Alfred Pena.
Honorary Pallbearers Jerry Padilla III and Alvin Olguin.
