Manuel M. Pata

Manuel M. Pata, 86, of North Haven, CT/Boynton Beach, FL, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at The Connecticut Hospice in Branford, surrounded by his loving

family. He was the beloved husband of 55 years to Maria (Rendeiro) Pata.

Born in Portugal on January 23, 1940, Manuel was the son of the late João Ribeiro Pata and

Maria da Conceicao Marques Pata. He immigrated to the United States in 1960, where he built a life centered on family, hard work, and community.

Manuel, known to many as "Manny," was a lifelong mason and the proud owner and operator of MP Concrete Company. He was a dedicated member of the Portuguese American Club and took great pride in his heritage.

A true lover of the outdoors, Manny found joy in hunting, fishing, and tending to his garden.

He was the father of Irene Walsh, Catherine Pata-Irka, and Daniel Pata. Also, he was the loving grandfather of Kaitlyn, Hannah, Molly, Timothy, Elizabeth, Charlotte, and great- grandfather to Nora.

He is also survived by his sisters Irene Apolinario, Cecilia Kovach, Neide Pinguelo, Lucy Apolinario, and Isabel Correia, as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces & great nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Izilda Alberti.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Connecticut Hospice, Inc., 100 Double Beach Road, Branford, CT 06405.

Funeral services will be held privately. Arrangements have been entrusted to The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home.
