Manuel Felix Rivera, age 31, of Harrisburg, was set free to be embraced by the angels on Sunday, September 8, 2024. Manuel was born on Wednesday, January 13, 1993, in Brooklyn, NY to Cathy (Albarran) Rivera . He is preceded in death by his twin brother, Felix Rivera.
Manuel’s survivors include his mother, Cathy (Albarran) Rivera; his four siblings: Janece Rivera of Mt. Joy, Eden Rivera of Harrisburg, Jayvien “Jayvi” Rivera of Harrisburg, and Joseph Rivera of Lock Haven; his niece and nephews: Kaia Brown, Julien Brown, and Alfonse Rivera; and his beloved canine companion: Lacie.
Manuel graduated from John Harris High School as part of the class of 2011. He was a member of the Jett Foundation, which brings awareness to Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Manuel enjoyed watching TV and especially the Food Network and DIY Channel. He was an avid fan of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Scooby-Doo. He appreciated horror movies, his favorites being the Chucky series. Manuel had a soft spot for Japanese series such as Anime, Power Rangers, and Super Sentai. He collected funko pop vinyl figurines, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles figures and Transformers. Manuel was especially close to his niece and nephews. He will be dearly missed by all those fortunate to have been in his life.
All are welcome to join Manuel’s family at his celebration of life open house and gathering of family and friends on Friday, September 27, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a time of remembrance at 3:30 p.m. at Buhrig’s Gathering Place, 25 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055, (717) 766-3421 (next to Buhrig Funeral & Cremation); with Celebrant Patti Vogl officiating. Over 100 parking spaces are available; just look for the “Buhrig” parking signs in all of the parking lots. Cremation was private.
