Manya (Popoff) Ferguson passed away peacefully at Elegant Assisted Living in Pocatello, Idaho on July 4, 2024 after a long battle with congestive heart failure.
Manya was born and raised in Bell, California, and worked for much of her life as an executive assistant. She met Wayne, the love of her life, through their high school alumni website not knowing they had actually met for the very first time in elementary school. They married in August of 2000 and lived in southern CA before moving on to Henderson NV, Winnemucca, NV and eventually retired with their “fur-babies” in Pocatello Idaho.
Manya was an outgoing, caring, spirit with a sharp wit and great faith. She loved God, her family, friends, church family, and caregivers and was making jokes up until almost the very end. While she will be greatly missed by her brother Pete, sister Tanya, family and friends, she is greatly welcomed in heaven where her husband Wayne and her parents have waited to greet her.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 15th @ 12:00pm MST
Mountain Valley Baptist Church
202 S. 7th Ave, Pocatello, ID 83201
Immediately followed by a committal service at 2:00pm MST
Idaho State Veterans Cemetery
2651 Cromwell Ln, Blackfoot, ID 83221
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Friends of the Pocatello Animal Shelter, a 501c3 charity organization that supports the shelter by funding several programs including Pets 4 Vets and others. Manya loved dogs and she and Wayne rescued several during their life together. www.pocatelloshelterfriends.org
