Maradee A. "Dee Dee" Morrison

Maradee "Dee Dee" A. Morrison, 84 of 2323 Edinboro Rd. Erie, PA passed away peacefully on Friday December 23, 2022, at ForestView Skilled Nursing. Maradee was born in Erie on March 25, 1938, to the late Fredrick and Shirley Conboy.
She was a graduate of Villa Maria Academy Elementary and High School. Dee Dee married Gilbert Knoll Jr. in 1957 and had three sons, Jeffrey, Walter "Skip" and Randy. Dee Dee had a full-time job raising her boys and managing the family-owned gas stations and apartment houses at the family home on Mill St., in Millcreek Township. The home was where all the neighborhood kids hung out. She loved the chaos and was busy feeding kids, baking cookies and patching skinned knees. Summers were a party at the Knoll house. After 29 years of marriage, Dee Dee and Gil divorced in 1986.
In 1986 Dee Dee married Jack Morrison. They had a wonderful time together and enjoyed traveling and boating on their pontoon boat on Pymatuning Lake. Jack passed away in 1997.
Dee Dee's next dear companion was Joseph Stadler. Together they traveled extensively, Notre Dame for football games, the Grand Canyon, Panama Canal, and the Caribbean. Joe passed away in 2006.
In 2009 Dee Dee reconnected with a friend from the old neighborhood, James Mack. They had a great time traveling, visiting friends and family, and spending time together until Jim's passing in 2017.
Dee Dee had volunteered for many years at St. Vincent Hospital gift shop. She had been a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, the Erie Maennerchor and Siebenbuerger Clubs. She loved boating, the beach, her many friends and family. She loved life and every day was a joy. She is survived by her three boys, Jeffrey Knoll and his wife Rosemarie, Walter "Skip" Knoll and his wife Laurie, and Randy Knoll and his wife Beth. She has six grandchildren and three step grandchildren.

Friends are invited to attend a memorial Mass at Our Lady of Peace Church, 2401 W. 38th Street, on Thursday at 10 a.m. Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1595 W. 38th Street assisted with arrangements.
