Marc Elias, of Weymouth, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with bladder cancer on August 24, 2025. He was 81 years old.
His love for life and his gentle spirit touched everyone he met. Marc's passion for classic rock music, his adoration for cats, and his enthusiasm for the three C's: cats, computers, and cars, were well-known to all who knew him.Married for 40 years to his soulmate, Kim, Marc's commitment to his partner was a testament to his kind and loving nature. Together, they shared countless adventures, exploring the world through their mutual love of travel. Their journeys often found them aboard cruises, where Marc's organizational skills and meticulous planning ensured every trip was memorable.
A hard worker by nature, Marc's dedication to his career was matched only by his commitment to living a simple and unpretentious life. His sense of humor was a beacon of light, bringing laughter to even the most mundane moments, though he was also known for his occasional grumpy demeanor—a trait that only endeared him further to those around him. Marc's gentle and loving heart was evident in his everyday actions. He was the kind of person who would offer help without being asked, and his presence was a comforting force in the lives of his friends and family. His kindness was not just a trait but a way of life, and it was this quality that made him truly special.
In his leisure, Marc could often be found tinkering with computers, a hobby that reflected his fascination with technology and innovation. His love for cars was more than just a pastime; it was a reflection of his appreciation for craftsmanship and design. And, of course, his affection for cats was unparalleled—each of his feline friends held a special place in his heart. As we remember Marc, we celebrate a life lived with joy, a spirit of generosity, and a legacy of love. His absence leaves a void in our hearts, but his memory will continue to inspire us. Marc Elias will be deeply missed, but the warmth of his kindness, the strength of his gentleness, and the depth of his loving nature will remain with us always.
Marc leaves behind his wife, Kimberlee Elias of Weymouth. Father of Marc Elias Jr. of Wareham, Vicki Elias of Taunton, Michael Elias of New Bedford, Eric Kinsherf and his wife Sherrie of Bourne, Jeffrey Kinsherf and his wife Sara of Halifax, Christopher Kinsherf and his wife Robyn of Portsmouth, NH, and Laurel Seder and her husband Raymond of Rockland. Brother to Lois Tuft of Ohio.
