I cannot remember when or how Marc and I reconnected after so much time had separated us from the 60s and our Mather HS days. We spoke over the phone and, afterwards, he made a point of checking up with me whenever I was a bit lazy and didn't phone. I don't think that Marc had to 'make' friends, he just naturally started out being one.

My husband (Leo Simon) and Marc talked on the phone every day. Though they didn't live close to one another, they did keep in contact and shared their love of friendship for one another. Marc was a once in a life time kind of friend. We were friends for 50+ years. He will be in our hearts until it's our time to join him. Prayers for Linda and family to find comfort.

I knew Marc, from the old neighborhood in West Rogers Park, Chicago. I remember him from Mather and he was a really great guy. I hope he knows he was loved and admired by many. Harlan Grabowsky

My memory? Well I have the longest memory- Marc was my baby brother. I am the older sister by 4 years. It´s just the 2 of us... now it´s just one, me, with all the memories. We were always told, no matter where we went with the little guy in his buggy, etc. he looked like Marlon Brando! As he got older, the same would be told to my folks. I remember when he played baseball & football at Thillens Stadium. I remember when he attended Hebrew school & wanted our mom to become kosher.... I remember when we finally got a dog, a little chawowa. and our mom said "Marc, you wanted it, you clean up after it" lolo he turned green and probably threw up. That was that- our mom said "it´s me or the dog"....much to Marc´s disappointment the dog left!
Marc & Mom loved the same foods, just last week he asked me for mom´s Stuffed Veal Breast recipe.,.....I wonder if he made it for himself. ....
We both were raised with so much family and loving cousins everywhere. We were a VERY close knit family, Then we grew up, - we still shared & I believe we always knew we would be there for each other. Now it´s just me, the last of the original LEVI´s. The only one, a very lonely feeling today. Thank Hashemite for MEMORIES, I feel blessed to have these. They are mine to share now. I look forward to sharing them with his kids and grandchildren if they are interested. Your grandpa was quite the guy! Marc, I will love you forever, you will always be my baby brother, and I´ll be it ur sis. No more pain, it´s buried in the dirt with your vessel, your soul is pure and healthy as you reach home, back to mom, daddy, Cindy and all of our ancestors. So long baby brother. Love, ur sis

Marc had the amazing ability to draw people out no matter how preoccupied or unhappy they might have been, he would engage them in a way that they would find a mutual path to communicate and he always finished with a warm smile. I am extremely grateful for the many years of friendship we shared, I will miss Marc deeply.
